The differences are many, but not huge - if you now what I mean. I feel like there is a lot to learn from the system in Stockholm and just by making small changes you can make the public transportation more appealing and better.
Public transportation, Stockholm
- easy to load buscards (goes for all public transportation), you can load them in a "pressbyrå"(near every bigger station),supermarkets, or on a machine(picture below)
-every busstop has light (no need to be afraid of dark)
- on both metro and bus stations there is a digital screen where you can see when the next ~4 buses/metros are arriving and where they are going, and on every bus/metro there is a digital screen + voice to know what the next stop will be
- the busses are longer (more people fit in)
- you open the doors in the bus yourself, no need to be angry at the driver (picture below) also no need to be afraid that the door closes
- many maps of where/how buses/metro/train are driving
- food/drink machines on the stops
... To be continued...

| No public transportation in the heart of the city, Which makes it possible to fit more stores etc and have perfect bicykleroads, still keeping the public transportation close. /Em |
